Suncoast Care is the charitable arm of Suncoast Church and exists to reduce food insecurity on the Sunshine Coast. We restore hope and dignity to families through the provision of food relief and outreach programs.

Some of these include:

Emergency Relief

Our Emergency Relief program is able to help people address immediate basic needs in times of crisis. Emergency relief supports people experiencing financial distress or hardship and who have limited means or resources to help them alleviate their financial crisis. From there we are able to refer to more intensive support or other services depending on the needs of the client.

School Pantry Program

Sadly, many students on the Sunshine Coast don’t have access to adequate food provision. We believe that no child should have to experience hunger. Through the support of Foodbank Queensland and our generous donors, Suncoast Care provides food for hungry and vulnerable children in our local schools through our School Pantry Program.

Community Meals Kitchen

Based in Nambour, ‘The Daily Bread’ provides a nutritious three-course meal to recipients and is generously prepared and served by local volunteers. On any given night, The Daily Bread will feed up to 60 people. This program offers food, social connection and referral pathways.

Community Grocery Store

The Community Grocery Store is a low-cost (sometimes even free) food solution giving those on lower incomes access to affordable groceries and providing food security to people in our community. Each week, close to a thousand shoppers visit the store to shop for groceries.
